kid meets kid

Petting Zoo

We went to a petting zoo on Saturday. It was fun. The goats followed Jon around begging for attention. They even blocked him in at one point. He had to step over a goat to get out! We think we might get a goat instead of a dog. It was pretty funny. Claire now makes a piggy noise. And did not appreciate the noise the geese made.

Lake Powell

Lake Powell was hopefully the worst vacation we will ever have. It will definately remember this one. Poor Claire decided she was going to cut a tooth that weekend. She had high fevers and incredible pain waking her up every 2 hrs. All she wanted was her mommy to hold her the whole weekend! She wouldn't even let daddy hold her. So Claire and I got the know the couch pretty well, because she didn't want to be outside either! Finally her tooth broke through on the last night after a few priesthood blessings. Yes, it was that bad. Jon was able to let loose and have some fun though. Thanks for putting up with us everyone! Here are a few pictures to enjoy.

I am walking!

Claire is finally walking! I was at Young Women's so I missed her big debut. Luckily Jon got it on video so now everyone can see it. Jon was on the phone and he all of a sudden saw her walking from the counter to the couch and screaming with delight. Then he got the camera out and she was ready to put on a show! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Claire's 1st Birthday!

A lot has happened since we last "updated" our blog. I realized that we are not the best bloggers when we realized we haven't done this since may! Claire turned ONE and we don't even have any pictures of it up. Sorry!! Claire quite enjoyed her birthday. We spent the day with Grammy and went to the splash park. She wasn't so sure at first, but after she saw all the other kids having fun she loved it! She was dragging me and grammy through everything. I think we got more wet than she did! Then we spent the night with just the three of us. She had to get her beauty sleep before her big party. Her big party wasn't so big. We just had the grandparents over for subway sandwiches (Claire's favorite at the time) and cake. Claire loved all the attention she got. When she was "digging" into her cake, she would wait for everyone to clap and say yeah before she would eat any more. And yes, she got spoiled with presents, and loved it. Here are a few pictures of the big day. Most of it is on our video camera and we haven't figured out how to transfer anything yet. But we do have a few from our other camera.
